I have monitored this small ancient oak trunk for years, fearful that if the wood is coppiced it will be thrown on to a bonfire. Recently it fell on to its side – a chance to examine it’s inside! The trunk finally stored in a shed

Imprisoned and left to dry for 6 months

LEAVE IT BE?

LET IT STAND ALONE?

ISN’T NATURE THE BEST SCULPTOR?

SUPPOSING IT WAS LIT FROM WITHIN – IN THE DARK?

WOULD IT SHINE THROUGHS THE CRACKS?
